How to build self-confidence In your 20s

If there’s one thing I struggle with the most that is low confidence.

I constantly find myself missing lots of opportunities just because I didn’t have the courage to pursue them.

I backed myself out of lots of things just because I didn’t have the confidence to go through them.

Self-confidence is something that impacts your life in a great way. Not having self-confidence will keep you from so many opportunities that you can’t even imagine.

I struggled with low self-confidence all my life. When I was younger I had social anxiety. And I couldn’t be part of anything significant though I had the ability. So in my 20s, I made a decision to build self-confidence.

Here are 4 steps on how I build self-confidence:

Step 1: Push yourself

Pushing yourself to do things is a great way to build self-confidence. You have to constantly push yourself to do things you don’t want to do. I didn’t like to deal with people but I forced myself to do volunteer work. It significantly improved my confidence.

Step 2: Stop the comparison.

We constantly compare ourselves with others. If you’re someone who just started on a journey to build self-confidence you should not compare yourself with a confident person.

Step 3: Believe in yourself

We always doubt ourselves when we try to approach something or someone. Am I good enough to do this? Am I good enough for that person? This constant doubt hinders our chance to build self-confidence. So Believe in yourself so that you can build self-confidence.

Step 4: Get out of your comfort zone

When you go out of your comfort zone, you discover a lot about your personality. This is a key to building self-confidence, which comes from discovering your true potential.

My struggles are still on with self-confidence. Still, I doubt myself about a lot of things. But that doesn’t mean I haven’t improved myself. I am 25 years old. I am trying every day to improve myself and to learn more things about self-confidence.
